Daryl L. Derryberry from lawyer office DZLAW from Tyler TX

Daryl L. Derryberry is board certified in Personal Injury Trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Daryl is also AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, an honor bestowed on him based on recommendations from trial judges and opposing counsel. He has also been recognized as a Super Lawyer in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury from 2017-2020 as recognized by Texas Monthly Magazine.

Daryl is a founding partner of Derryberry Zips, PLLC (“DZ”). Daryl’s legal career spans nearly three (3) decades and includes being lead counsel in trials that resulted in verdicts and settlements totaling tens of millions of dollars. These trial verdicts and settlements include representing clients in a wide variety of personal injury and complex business cases, including representing clients in oil field cases, 18-wheeler crashes, large commercial vehicle crashes, medical negligence cases, products liability, broker malpractice, and breach of fiduciary duty cases. Daryl focuses his practice on clients who have sustained catastrophic, life-changing injuries and wrongful death cases.

Daryl exclusively limits his practice to the representation of individuals and businesses who have been the victims of the negligent, grossly negligent and wrongful acts of corporations and individuals who violate basic safety standards and rules.

“My philosophy is to aggressively pursue the businesses, their employees and other individuals who cause catastrophic injuries and deaths to other people because of the violation of basic safety standards and rules that are designed to protect all members of our communities. Unfortunately, it is the norm for a company to have a safety standard in a written policy and then not require its employees to follow the safety standard. As you might expect, this failure to enforce basic safety standards and rules leads to disastrous incidents that cause havoc and destruction to our clients’ lives. I take a personal interest in each case because my experience has shown me the suffering our clients endure during the process that is involved in holding corporate businesses accountable for their negligence and gross negligence. DZ has staying power and the financial resources required to take on the largest of corporations and their teams of lawyers who will stop at nothing to avoid responsibility to properly compensate the victims of their misdeeds and harmful acts. I feel a tremendous amount of personal satisfaction from knowing I have been able to obtain a measure of justice in “righting wrongs” and helping those who need it the most. The courtroom is the ultimate equalizer and DZ is here to help those who have been harmed by others.”
